Alaina or “Ina” graduated from San Pedro College in 2017 with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. Prior to teaching Pilates, she practised her profession as a licensed PT and was part of a rehabilitation team in Kidapawan Doctors Hospital Inc. During her internship, she was able to experience training in private and public hospitals, specialised clinics and rehabilitation centres including neurologic, orthopedic, sports and pediatrics. She was also able to handle patients with Scoliosis and that’s when she was introduced and learned about incorporating Pilates as one of the rehabilitative plan of care. This inspired her to train and pursue a career as a Pilates Instructor. In addition, she also attended Physiocoach Functional Training to further her knowledge in physical health and fitness.
As a Pilates instructor, Ina is dedicated to share her passion because it allows her to connect with people, guide them to develop awareness of how their individual body functions, as well as challenge and encourage people to achieve their optimal potential. She is inspired of Joseph Pilates’ quote “Change happens through movement and movement heals”. She strives to pursue continuing education in pilates and rehabilitative based movement.
During her free time, she loves to draw, watch movies, go to beaches and travel. She also enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.
